The TW-150 is HORIBA's automatic water quality monitoring system designed for continuous surveillance of drinking water distribution networks — at water treatment facilities and at endpoints of water supply systems. It simultaneously measures turbidity, color, free residual chlorine, water pressure, and pH (standard configuration), with optional conductivity and water temperature, providing comprehensive reagent-free monitoring of all key daily inspection parameters in a single compact wall-mounted unit. Automated zero calibration, wiper cell cleaning, and tool-free part replacement minimise maintenance requirements and enable unattended operation.
The TW-150 is HORIBA's automatic water quality monitoring system for continuous surveillance of drinking water quality in distribution networks — from water treatment facilities to supply endpoints. It simultaneously measures all key daily inspection parameters — turbidity, color, free residual chlorine, water pressure, and pH — in a single compact wall-mounted unit, providing reliable automated monitoring without the need for reagents. Optional conductivity and water temperature sensors expand the parameter set to seven simultaneous measurements. Automatic zero calibration (turbidity, color, and residual chlorine via filtered sample water), automatic wiper cleaning of optical cells (turbidity, color), and continuous bead cleaning of the chlorine electrode minimise maintenance requirements and support unattended long-term operation. Tool-free part replacement allows on-site maintenance without calling the manufacturer. The system can be installed indoors using existing outdoor panels already in place at the customer's site, supporting space-saving and cost-effective deployment.
Key Features TW-150
- Simultaneous measurement of up to 7 parameters: turbidity, color, free residual chlorine, water pressure, pH (standard); conductivity and water temperature (optional).
- Reagent-free measurement across all parameters — no chemical consumables required for routine operation.
- Automatic zero calibration for turbidity, color, and residual chlorine using filtered sample water; programmable cycle (5–9999 h).
- Automatic wiper cleaning for turbidity and color cells (5–9999 min cycle); continuous bead cleaning for the residual chlorine electrode.
- Touch panel LCD (320 × 240 dot, backlit); up to 7 measurement values displayed simultaneously.
- Analog outputs: 4–20 mA DC isolated (up to 7 channels, one per measurement item); max. load 600 Ω.
- Contact outputs for power failure, batch alarm, and maintenance; contact inputs for external cleaning, zero calibration, alarm check, and abnormal water sampling triggers.
- RS-232C communication (19200 bps); data memory up to 1 year at 1-hour interval; CompactFlash data export.
- Internal leak detection function; flow rate integrating function.
- Tool-free part replacement — easy on-site maintenance without manufacturer callout.
- Wall-mounted, indoor installation; compatible with existing outdoor panels (outdoor case option available).
Applications
The TW-150 is suited to continuous automated water quality monitoring at water treatment plants, water distribution network monitoring stations, and drinking water supply endpoints — where simultaneous surveillance of turbidity, color, residual chlorine, pressure, and pH is required for regulatory compliance and supply safety assurance.
Installation and Safety Notes
Designed for indoor installation; outdoor case available as option. Mount on a flat, stable, vibration-free wall surface at 0–40 °C; altitude ≤2000 m; no direct sunlight or corrosive atmosphere. Power: 90–264 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 120 VA max. Sample water: temperature 0–40 °C; pressure 0.1–0.75 MPa; conductivity ≥10 mS/m; flow rate 50–100 mL/min. Flush thoroughly before initial use. Sample water measured by this device cannot be distributed back to the supply.
