The HT-110 is HORIBA's on-line TOC analyzer designed for continuous measurement of total organic carbon in pharmaceutical manufacturing water — including Water for Injection (WFI) and Purified Water. Based on the continuous UV oxidation and conductivity method, it requires no reagents or carrier gases, delivers repeatability within ±2% FS, and complies with USP<643>, EP<2.2.44>, and JP<G8.4.5.2>. A deaeration mechanism suppresses false readings from air bubbles, and the extended UV lamp lifetime reduces maintenance to a single annual calibration.
The HT-110 is HORIBA's on-line TOC analyzer designed for continuous high-precision measurement of total organic carbon in pharmaceutical manufacturing water, including Water for Injection (WFI), Purified Water, and Highly Purified Water. It uses the continuous UV oxidation and conductivity method: organic carbon compounds in the sample are oxidised by UV irradiation, generating CO₂, which dissolves in the water and increases its conductivity — the TOC concentration is then calculated from the measured conductivity difference before and after oxidation. Because this method requires no reagents or carrier/purge gases, operating costs are significantly reduced and operational complexity is minimised. A built-in deaeration mechanism suppresses erroneous readings caused by the inclusion of air bubbles in the sample stream. The extended UV lamp lifetime reduces the maintenance schedule to a single annual calibration, minimising downtime in regulated pharmaceutical environments. An external contact input allows ON/OFF control for situations such as bypassing false alarms during SIP cleaning or nighttime shutdown of the purified water system. Installation options include pole mount, wall mount, and tabletop.
Key Features HT-110

- Measurement range 0–100/500/1000 ppb TOC; repeatability within ±2% FS; resolution 0.1 ppb (0–500 ppb range), 1 ppb (0–1000 ppb range).
- Compliant with USP<643>, EP<2.2.44>, JP<G8.4.5.2> for WFI, Purified Water, and Highly Purified Water quality monitoring.
- Built-in deaeration mechanism — suppresses false readings from air bubble inclusion in the sample.
- Annual maintenance cycle — extended UV lamp lifetime reduces scheduled maintenance to once per year.
- Contact input for external ON/OFF control — useful during SIP cleaning cycles or equipment shutdown without generating false alarms.
- LCD display showing TOC, conductivity, water temperature, and alarm status simultaneously.
- Single 4–20 mA DC output (or optional 0–1 V DC); two relay contact outputs for TOC/temperature/conductivity alarm and ON/OFF control.
- Flexible installation: pole mount, wall mount, or tabletop.
- IP43; 100–240 V AC; CE marked: EN61326-2-3, EN61010-1, RoHS EN50581; FCC Part 15.
Applications
The HT-110 is suited to continuous on-line TOC monitoring of Water for Injection (WFI), Purified Water, and Highly Purified Water in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities — in compliance with USP<643>, EP<2.2.44>, and JP pharmacopoeial requirements. It is also applicable to TOC monitoring in other high-purity water applications where reagent-free low-maintenance continuous measurement is required.
