The TW-100 is HORIBA's compact automatic water quality monitoring system for continuous surveillance of drinking water quality in distribution networks and at supply endpoints. It simultaneously measures turbidity, color, free residual chlorine, and water pressure as standard, with optional pH, conductivity, and water temperature, providing reagent-free automated monitoring of all key daily inspection parameters. Automatic zero calibration, wiper and bead cleaning, and tool-free part replacement minimise maintenance requirements and support unattended long-term operation in space-constrained installations.
The TW-100 is HORIBA's automatic water quality monitoring system for continuous surveillance of drinking water quality in distribution networks and at water supply endpoints. It simultaneously measures the key daily inspection parameters — turbidity, color, free residual chlorine, and water pressure — with optional pH, conductivity, and water temperature sensors expanding the simultaneous display to up to seven parameters. All measurements are reagent-free. Automatic zero calibration (turbidity, color, and residual chlorine via filtered sample water), wiper cleaning of optical cells (turbidity and color), and continuous bead grinding for the chlorine electrode minimise maintenance requirements and enable unattended long-term operation. Tool-free part replacement allows on-site servicing without manufacturer callout. The wall-mounted unit is compact, supports space-saving installation, and is compatible with existing outdoor enclosures already in place at customer sites.
Key Features TW-100
- Simultaneous measurement of up to 7 parameters: turbidity, color, free residual chlorine, water pressure (standard); pH, conductivity, water temperature (optional).
- Reagent-free measurement across all parameters — no chemical consumables required for routine operation.
- Turbidity: transmitted light absorption method, 0–4 FTU — suited to low-turbidity drinking water monitoring.
- Free residual chlorine: polarographic method, 0–2 mg/L with continuous bead grinding for electrode maintenance.
- Automatic zero calibration for turbidity, color, and residual chlorine using filtered sample water; cycle 1–9999 h; calibration time 20–99 min.
- Automatic wiper cleaning for turbidity and color cells (5–9999 h cycle).
- Touch panel LCD (320 × 240 dot); up to 7 simultaneous measurement values displayed.
- Analog outputs: up to 7 × 4–20 mA DC, isolated; max. load 600 Ω.
- Contact outputs for power off, batch alarms, and maintenance; contact inputs for external cleaning, zero calibration, error check, and error water sampling.
- RS-232C communication (optional remote monitoring system available); data memory up to ~1 year at 1-hour interval; CF card data export.
- Internal water leak detection; sample volume estimation (counting type); error water sampling function.
- Tool-free part replacement; wall-mount installation; compatible with existing outdoor enclosures (outdoor case option).
Applications
The TW-100 is suited to continuous automated water quality monitoring at water treatment plants, distribution network monitoring stations, and drinking water supply endpoints — where simultaneous reagent-free surveillance of turbidity, color, residual chlorine, and water pressure is required for safety assurance and regulatory compliance.
Installation and Safety Notes
Designed for indoor installation; outdoor case available as option. Mount on a flat, stable, vibration-free wall at 0–40 °C; altitude ≤2000 m; no direct sunlight or corrosive atmosphere. Power: 100–230 V AC ±10%, 50/60 Hz; max. 150 VA. Sample water: temperature 0–40 °C; pressure 0.1–0.75 MPa; flow rate ≥100 mL/min total (50–100 mL/min measuring flow). Flush thoroughly before initial use; install bypass piping.
