HE-300C, Field-Installation Type Electrical Conductivity Meter HE-300C, HORIBA

The HE-300C is a 2-wire loop-powered field-installation conductivity transmitter from HORIBA's H-1 Series. It provides continuous monitoring of electrical conductivity, TDS, and temperature in pure water, boiler water, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, drawing its operating power from the 4–20 mA signal loop without a separate AC supply. This simplifies wiring and makes the HE-300C well suited to retrofitting existing installations. Compatible sensors include the ESH and FS Series across three cell constants, including pharmacopoeia-compliant types (USP, EP, JP). Temperature compensation options — NaCl characteristic, arbitrary coefficient, or none, with automatic pure water compensation in the deionised water range — cover the full spectrum of industrial applications. The IP65-rated aluminium alloy housing with SUS304 fittings ensures reliable outdoor performance.

Applications

The HE-300C is suited to continuous conductivity monitoring in pure water and ultrapure water systems, boiler water and steam condensate, pharmaceutical manufacturing (USP/EP/JP compliance), and general industrial process water, particularly where 2-wire loop-powered installation is preferred.

Installation and Safety Notes

Power from a 24 V DC source (21–32 V DC) via the 4–20 mA loop. Maximum load resistance depends on supply voltage — consult the load curve in the product documentation. When sensor, transmission, or contact input cables are extended to 30 m or more, the CE marking surge test does not apply — fit appropriate surge absorption elements. An internal arrester (spark-over voltage 400 V) is provided. Operating temperature: −20 to 60 °C; storage: −25 to 65 °C; humidity: 5–90% RH non-condensing.
