Used for accurate measurement of total chlorine in water samples.
Total Chlorine Test Set is a simple and reliable way for total chlorine determination in water samples. The set measures total chlorine in the range of 0.02 - 3.4 mg/L Cl₂ and 0.02 - 0.68 mg/L Cl₂ by Color Disc/DPD method. CN-70T can be used for 100 total chlorine tests. The smallest increments are 0.02 and 0.1 mg/L Cl₂.
CN-70T Test Set contains:
- DPD Total Chlorine Reagent Powder Pillows (p/n 1406499)
- Square Bottle, with 25-mL mark (p/n 1704200)
- DPD Chlorine Color Disc, 0-3.4 mg/L (p/n 990200)
- Color Comparator Box (p/n 173200)
- Long-path Adapter (p/n 2412200)
- 18mm Plastic Viewing Tubes, with caps (p/n 4660004)
Procedure for Cl₂ measurement
Before starting analysis:
- Install the color disc on the center pin in the color comparator box (numbers to the front).
- Set the source of light above tubes to determine the color match.
- Use the mid-range testing procedure with a fresh sample if the low-range testing results exceed the maximum limit.
Testing procedure
For total chlorine analysis in the range of 0.02 - 3.4 mg/L Cl₂, remove the long-path adapter. Add 5 mL sample into the first tube. Install the tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Mix 25 mL sample and DPD Total Chlorine Powder Pillow in the bottle. Wait 3 minutes and read the testing results within 6 minutes. Transfer the prepared sample into the second tube, insert the second tube into the color comparator box and hold it in front of a light source. Turn the color disc to find the color match, Read the result in mg/L in the scale window.
