Amicon Ultra-4 centrifugal filter units (UFC8030) provide fast ultrafiltration and high sample recovery for biological samples. Equipped with an Ultracel regenerated cellulose membrane, they are designed for the concentration and purification of proteins and other macromolecules.
The Amicon® Ultra-4 centrifugal filter (UFC8030) is designed for a 4 mL sample volume with a 30,000 Dalton molecular weight cutoff (MWCO). These units are widely used for the concentration of biological samples containing antigens, antibodies, enzymes, and nucleic acids. They are also ideal for purification of tissue culture extracts or cell lysates, desalting, and buffer exchange. The vertical membrane design minimizes solute polarization and fouling, enabling fast processing times (typically as short as 5–10 minutes) and high concentration factors (80–100X).
