2518050 Hach

Measures ozone in water, wastewater and industrial water by Color Disc/Indigo trisulfonate method.

Add to bag

Ozone AccuVac Test Set measures 0.05 - 1.50 mg/L O₃ in water, wastewater and industrial water. The set uses Color Disc/Indigo trisulfonate method. The smallest increment is 0.05 mg/L O₃. Simple and inexpensive color disc method for fast and accurate ozone determination with minimal effort. The set contains all required reagents and instruments to conduct analysis of 25 samples.

Ozone Test Set contains:

  • Ozone AccuVac® Ampuls, 0–1.5 mg/L (p/n 2518025)
  • AccuVac® Ampul Snapper (p/n 2405200)
  • 100 mL Polypropylene Beaker (p/n 108042)
  • AccuVac® Color Comparator Box (p/n 173250)
  • Ozone Color Disc, 0-1.5 mg/L (p/n 9265500)
  • 10-mL Round Sample Cell, 25 mm x 54 mm (p/n 2122800)

Procedure for O₃ analysis

Before you start take into account the following:

  • Analyze samples immediately after collection.
  • Use the value in the middle of the two segments if the color match is between two segments.
  • Pull apart the flat plastic sides, open the color disc and dry all parts with soft cloth if the color disc becomes wet internally.

Testing procedure

Add 10 ml of sample into the sample cell. Set the sample cell into the left opening of the color comparator box. Collect 40 mL of sample in the beaker and install the AccuVac Ampul Snapper in the beaker. Invert AccuVac Ampul, insert the ampule in the snapper and push down to break and fill the ampule. Put the cap on the tip of the ampule and invert several times. If ozone is present in the sample, the blue color in the ampule gets lighter. Place the ampule into the color comparator box, rotate the color disc to match the color and analyze the testing results in mg/L in the scale window.
