224800 Phosphorus, Orthophosphate (Reactive) Test Kit, Model PO-19

Phosphorus, Orthophosphate (Reactive) Test Kit is required for orthophosphate determination in water and other liquids. The kit performs orthophosphate measurement in the following ranges: 0 - 0.8 mg/L PO₄, 0 - 4 mg/L PO₄ and 0 - 40 mg/L PO₄. Phosphorus, Orthophosphate (Reactive) Test Set uses Color Disc/Ascorbic acid method. The set can be used for 100 tests. The smallest increments: 0.02, 0.10 and 1. Model PO-19 provides testing results in less than 5 minutes for clean water samples.

Procedure for PO₄ measurement with PO-19 kit

Before starting analysis:

• Clean tubes and bottles with 6.0 N (1:1) hydrochloric acid solution and rinse with deionized water.
• Use the mid-range test procedure with new sample if low-range testing results exceed the maximum limit.
• Use the standard solution as the sample to control the test accuracy.

Testing procedure

In order to perform orthophosphate measurement in the range from 0 - 0.8 mg/L PO₄, place the long-path adapter in the color comparator box. Add sample up to the top line of the first tube. Insert the first tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Mix 20 mL sample and the content of PhosVer 3 Phosphate Reagent Powder Pillow in the bottle. After 8 minutes, transfer the pretreated sample into the second tube. Insert the second tube into the color comparator box. Rotate the color disc to find the matching color. Read the value in the scale window. Divide the value by 50 to receive the testing results in mg/L.
