2167502 Triazole Test Kit with 230 VAC UV Lamp and Power Supply, Model TZ-1

Triazole Test Kit is required for benzotriazole/tolyltriazole evaluation in the range of 0 - 15.0 mg/L in water samples from boilers and cooling towers. The kit uses Color Disc/ UV photolysis method. Model TZ-1 can be used to conduct 50 tests. The smallest increment is 0.5. Triazole Test Set measures common corrosion and biological growth inhibitor using color disc method.

Procedure for Benzotriazole/Tolyltriazole analysis

Before you start take into account the following:

• Use the suitable color disc for benzotriazole or tolyltriazole determination.
• Rinse the lamp and wipe with the tissue between measurements.
• Adjust the sample temperature to 20-25 °C (68-78 °F) before analysis.
• Take the digestion time into consideration.

Testing procedure

1. Fill the first tube to the 5 mL line with sample. Install the first tube into the left opening of the color comparator box.
2. Mix 25 mL sample and Triazole Reagent Powder Pillow in the bottle.
3. Place the bottle in the bottle holder. Set the bottle holder in the storage case.
4. Put on the UV protection goggles, place the UV lamp in the bottle and turn on the UV lamp. After 5 minutes, the yellow color appears. Switch off the UV lamp.
5. Transfer the digested sample into the second tube.
6. Insert the second tube into the color comparator box.
7. While holding the color comparator box in front of the light, rotate the color disk to find a color match. Check the testing results in mg/L in the scale window.
