Nitrate Test Set measures nitrite-nitrogen in water samples by Color Disc/ Cadmium reduction method.
Model NI-11 is required for nitrite-nitrogen determination in the range of 0 - 40 mg/L NO₃-N in water samples by Color Disc/ Cadmium reduction method. Nitrate Test Set can be used to conduct 100 nitrite-nitrogen tests with the smallest increment of 1.0 mg/L NO₃-N.

Procedure for NO₃-N measurement
Before you start take into account the following:
- Rinse tubes with sample before the analysis.
- Rinse tubes with deionized water after the analysis.
- Dilute the sample if the nitrate-nitrogen concentration exceeds 40 mg/L.
Testing procedure
Fill two tubes to the first line with sample. Install the first tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Add the content of NitraVer 5 Nitrate Reagent Powder Pillow to the second tube, install the cap and shake the content of the second tube for 1 minute. After 1 minute, amber color appears. Set the second tube into the color comparator box. While holding the color comparator box in front of the light, rotate the disk to find a color match. Evaluate the testing results in mg/L in the scale window.
To record the test result as mg/L NO3–, multiply the test result by 4.4.
