Iron Color Disc Test Set measures iron in water and other liquids.
Iron Color Disc Test Set is required for iron measurement in the range from 0.25 to 7 mg/L Fe in water and other liquids. The set uses 1,10 Phenanthroline method. Model IR-18B can be used for 100 tests. The smallest increment is 0.25 mg/L Fe. Iron Color Disc Test Kit includes all reagents and apparatus in a durable carrying case for convenient transportation.
Iron Color Disc Test Kit includes:
- FerroVer Iron Reagent Powder Pillows (p/n 92799)
- Iron Color Disc, indoor light, 0–7 mg/L (p/n 9261000)
- Iron Color Disc, outdoor light, 0–7 mg/L (p/n 9263700)
- Color Comparator Box (p/n 173200)
- 18 mm Plastic Viewing Tubes, with caps (p/n 4660004)
Procedure for Fe evaluation
Before you start take into account the following:
- Rinse tubes with the sample before the analysis.
- Rinse tubes with the deionized water after the analysis.
- Use the standard solution as the sample to control the test accuracy.
Testing procedure
Add 5mL of the sample into two tubes. Install the first tube in the left opening of the color comparator box. Fill the second tube with FerroVer Iron Reagent Powder Pillow and swirl the content of the tube until the orange color develops. Place the second tube into the color comparator box. Hold the color comparator box in front of the light, turn the color disc to find the color match and analyze testing results.
