1419301 Molybdate Test Kit, Model MO-2

Molybdate Test Set is required for molybdenum determination in water and other liquids. The set measures ferrous iron in the following ranges: 0 - 8 mg/L Mo and 0 - 40 mg/L Mo. Model MO-2 uses Color Disc/ Mercaptoacetic acid method. Molybdate Test Kit may be used for 100 samples. The smallest increments: 0.2 and 1 mg/L Mo.

Procedure for Mo determination

Before you start take into account the following:

• Use the value in the middle of the two segments if colors between two segments are matching.
• Multiply the testing results by 1.67 to record the testing results as mg/L MoO₄²-.
• Multiply the testing results by 2.25 to record the test result as mg/L Na₂MoO₄.

Testing procedure

If your sample contains turbidity, filter it according to the instructions. After that follow the steps below.

In order to perform molybdenum measurement in the range of 0 - 8 mg/L Mo, insert the long-path adapter in the color comparator box. Fill the first tube to the top line with sample. Place the first tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Fill the bottle to the shoulder with sample, add MolyVer 1 Reagent Powder Pillow and swirl to mix. Pour the content of MolyVer 2 Reagent Powder Pillow and stir the bottle. Add MolyVer 3 Reagent Powder Pillow and swirl the content of the bottle. Wait 3 minutes till the yellow color develops as the result of the reaction. Transfer the prepaired sample into the second tube, install the second tube into the color comparator box and analyze testing results. Divide the value by 5 to get the testing results in mg/L.
