The MEDIAWEL 10® (by Alliance Bio Expertise) is a versatile system that automates the entire media preparation cycle—from heating and sterilization to cooling and distribution. It features a double magnetic stirring blade with a large surface area to ensure optimum temperature homogeneity and consistency across the entire batch. The device operates at sterilization temperatures between 30 °C and 125 °C, with high precision ($\pm 0.5$ °C). Designed for safety and ease of use, it includes a safety lid locked above 80 °C with 12 mechanical hooks and a built-in pressure monitoring system. The unit is controlled via an intuitive 7" glove-friendly touchscreen and provides full traceability through e-TRACE® technology, supporting data export via USB or optional WiFi/Ethernet monitoring.

Instructions for use

The MEDIAWEL 10® is designed for the preparation of high-quality culture media and agar.

Preparation: Place the stainless steel bucket into the vessel. Add the required amount of water and media powder. Ensure the double magnetic stirrer is correctly positioned for optimal mixing.

Operation: Close the lid and secure the locking hooks. Use the 7" touchscreen to select one of the 150 available programs or create a custom cycle. The system will automatically handle the sterilization and cooling phases.

Safety & Maintenance: The lid remains locked until the media temperature drops below 80 °C. After the cycle, the lightweight bucket (1530g) can be easily removed for cleaning. Use the 0.2 µm Bactystopper® filter to ensure sterile air exchange during the process. Regularly check the pressure gauge and safety valves as part of routine laboratory safety checks. Store the unit in a dry environment and follow the manufacturer's guidelines for annual calibration.
