LCK Reagent Set measures permanganate index in drinking water, raw water, surface water and bath water.
Article LCK394 measures 0.5-10 mg/L O₂ (CODMn) in drinking water, raw water and other liquids. The product uses permanganate method (ISO 8467). The product can be used for 25 tests. 13mm LCK394 reagent set may be evaluated with DR1900, DR3900, DR6000, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Mix 2.5 mL of sample and 0.5 mL of solution A in the cuvette. Heat the cuvette using classic thermostat or high temperature thermoreactor. Remove the foil, unscrew and screw the DosiCap Zip upside-down. Stir the cuvette content and pipet 0.5 mL of solution A. Thoroughly clean the cuvette and conduct sample analysis using one of the aforementioned instruments. Oxidizable substances enter into reaction with sulfuric acidic potassium permanganate solution under decoloration. The decrease of the purple dye is the indicator for the organic load of the sample. The color change should be analyzed photometrically. It is required to subject testing results to plausibility checks (dilute and/or spike the sample). It is recommended to dispose the drinking water, raw water or other liquid sample and reagents according to local, state and federal regulations.
LCK394 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C. The product is required to be protected from the light.
