LCK Reagent Set measures acid capacity and calcium carbonate in wastewater, drinking water and boiler water.
LCK362 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.5-8.0 mmol/L KS₄.₃ and 25-400 mg/L CaCO₃ in wastewater, drinking water and boiler water. The product uses Hach method. Article LCK362 can be used to evaluate up to 25 samples. LCK362 reagent set may be evaluated with one of the following spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000. It is recommended to filter the wastewater or other liquid samples that contain particles using Membrane Filtration Set LCW904 or folded filter.
Firstly, mix 2.0 mL of solution A and 0.5 mL of wastewater or other liquid sample in the cuvette. Secondly, close the cuvette and rotate until the freeze-dried contents are entirely dissolved. Thirdly, thoroughly clean the cuvette surface. Finally, insert the cuvette into the cell holder of the instrument and evaluate the collected sample. Carbonates and other buffers enter into reaction with the reagent in the cuvette that causes change of the pH to occur. The pH change that is displayed by the indicator must be evaluated using Hach spectrophotometer. It is required to dilute collected sample containing acid capacity above 8.0 mmol/L with carbon-dioxide-free distilled water.
It is recommended to store the LCK362 reagent kit at the temperature between 15 °C and 25 °C.
