LCK313 Chromium (III, VI, Total) Cuvette Test, 0.03-1.0 mg/L Cr

LCK313 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures chromium in wastewater and process analysis.

Add to bag

LCK313 Cuvette test measures 0.03-1.0 mg/L Cr in wastewater and process analysis. The product uses diphenylcarbazide method (EN ISO 11083, DIN 38405-D24). Up to 25 tests may be conducted using Article LCK313. The product is compatible with the one of the following DR series spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

Procedure for Total Chromium measurement

For total chromium analysis it is required to pipet 2.0 mL of wastewater sample in the cuvette, shake the closed cuvette vigorously and heat in the classic thermostat or high temperature thermoreactor (see manual for detailed information about the recommended temperature). Afterwards unscrew the cap from the cuvette and screw orange colored cap. Finally invert the cuvette several times and after 2 minutes analyze testing results.

Procedure for Chromium VI determination

In order to test chromium VI, pipet 2.0 mL of sample and close the cuvette with the orange cap. Then invert the cuvette several times until the freeze-dried contents are completely dissolved and after 2 minutes invert the cuvette content a few more times. Insert the cuvette into the cell holder of the instrument, select the test and push READ.

Sample preparation

The preparation is not required for shorter-term sample conservation. For longer-term preservation of the wastewater sample, the pH should be reduced to pH<2 using nitric acid. The sample may be stored for up to 1 month. The sample must be transported and kept in the glass, polyethylene or borosilicate glass. LCK313 reagent set storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C. The product is required to be stored in refrigerated condition.
