LCW Reagent Set measures chlorine and ozone in drinking water, swimming bath water (pools) and wastewater.
LCW510 reagent set (13mm) measures 0.03–1.50 mg/L Cl₂ / O₃ in drinking water, swimming bath water (pools) and wastewater. The product uses DPD method. Article LCW510 can be used analyze up to 100 tests. The product is compatible with the following DR series instruments: DR3900 and DR6000. The measuring range for the round cuvette is 0.1 - 1.5 mg/L Cl₂ / O₃. The measuring range for the 50 mm rectangular cuvette is 0.03 - 0.4 mg/L Cl₂ / O₃.
For analysis of the sample containing free chlorine, prepare the zero cuvette by filling the round cuvette or a 50mm rectangular cuvette with sample. Prepare the sample by adding 1 dosage of chlorine powder reagent to the round cuvette or 50mm rectangular cuvette. Pour the water sample and invert the closed cuvette for 1 minute. Insert the zero cuvette in the instrument and select program. After that remove the zero cuvette, insert the sample cuvette into the cell holder of the spectrophotometer and push READ. For analysis of the sample containing total chlorine and ozone, conduct the procedure recommended by the manufacturer (see manual). Oxidizing agents react with diethyl-p-phenylenediamine forming red color that must be evaluated photometrically.
The recommended storage temperature is between 2 °C and 8 °C. LCW510 Cuvette test is required to be protected against light rays.
