LCW Reagent Set measures hydrazine in boiler water, steam condensates and process analysis.
LCW025 reagent set (13mm) measures 0.01-2.0 mg/L N₂H₄ in boiler water and steam condensates. The product uses 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde method. Article LCW025 can be used to evaluate up to 60 samples. The product is compatible with the following spectrophotometers: DR3900 and DR6000.
Sample preparation: Add 10.0 mL sample and 5.0 mL solution A into the beaker. Blank-value preparation: Mix 10.0 mL distilled water and 5.0 mL solution A in the another beaker. Mix and transfer the content of sample and blank-value beakers to 10 mm rectangular cuvettes. After that insert the blank-cuvette in the instrument, select the test and push ZERO. Remove the blank-cuvette from the cell holder, insert the sample cuvette and push READ. Hydrazine enters into reaction with 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde in acidic solution to give the yellow hydrazone that is evaluated using spectrophotometer. The required pH of the collected water sample: pH 3-10. The recommended temperature of the water sample and reagents: 15-25 °C (59-77 °F).
The product storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
