LCK Reagent Set measures formaldehyde in chipboard after previous perforation (ISO 12460), fabrics, air, cosmetics and wastewater.
LCS425 reagent set (13mm) measures 0.05-3.0 mg/L H₂CO in chipboard, fabrics, air, cosmetics and wastewater. The product uses acetylacetone method (ISO12460). Article LCS425 can be used to perform analysis of 25 collected samples. The product can be evaluated using DR3900, DR6000, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000. LCS425 Cuvette test is intended to be used together with 50mm semi-micro rectangle-cuvettes.
Blank-value cuvette preparation: add 1.5 mL of deionized water and 1.5 mL solution A using pipette. Sample cuvette preparation: pipet 1.5 mL of sample and 1.5 mL solution A. After that heat cuvettes in the preheated thermostat. Cool down to room temperature and transfer the content of each cuvette into 50mm semi-micro cuvettes. Then insert the blank-value cuvette into the cell holder and select the program. Remove the blank-value cuvette and insert the sample cuvette in the instrument. Formaldehyde enters into reaction in aqueous solution with ammonium ions and acetylacetone forming yellow color. The change of the color must be evaluated photometrically. It is recommended to read the Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and use personal protective equipment.
LCS425 storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
