LCK537 Nickel trace Cuvette Test, 0.05-1.0 mg/L Ni

LCK537 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures nickel in wastewater and drinking water.

Add to bag

LCK537 Cuvette test measures 0.05-1.0 mg/L Ni and 0.06-1.20 mg/L Ni in wastewater and drinking water. The product uses dimethylglyoxime method. Article LCK537 can be used to perform up to 20 tests. The product analysis may be performed using DR3900 and DR6000. Use of 50 mm cuvettes LZP341 or LZM381 for sample-specific blanks.

Pipet 4.2 mL of wastewater, drinking water or other liquid sample and insert into the cell holder. Remove the cuvette, pour 1 dosing spoon reagent B and add 0.6 mL of solution A. Screw the cap C onto the cuvette and stir until reagents eventually dissolve. After 5 minutes, invert a few more times and evaluate testing results using one of the abovementioned instruments. In the presence of an oxidizing agent, nickel ions enter into reaction with dimethylglyoxime in alkaline solution and form orange-brown complex that is evaluated with spectrophotometer. High content of copper, nickel, and tin may cause high-bias results. Remove air bubbles by shaking or tapping the cuvette, to ensure accurate measuring results.

The pH of the wastewater, drinking water or other liquid sample should be reduced to pH<2 for 1 month storage of the sample. The sample must be transported or stored using glass, polyethylene or borosilicate glass container. The storage conditions of the LCK537 reagent kit are from 2 °C to 8 °C.
