LCK Reagent Set measures copper in drinking water, wastewater and process analysis.
LCK529 Cuvette test measures 0.01-1.0 mg/L Cu and 0.012-1.200 mg/L Cu in drinking water, wastewater and process analysis. The product uses bathocuproine disulphonic acid method. The product can be used for 20 tests. LCK529 reagent kit can be evaluated on DR3900 and DR6000. Use LCW902 CRACK SET Reagent set for total cooper digestion. For sample-specific blanks it is recommended to use 50 mm cuvettes LZP341 or LZM381 as an alternative.
Procedure: Add 5.0 mL sample, thoroughly clean the outside of the cuvette and insert into the spectrophotometer. Remove the cuvette from the cell holder and add 0.5 mL of solution A. Close the cuvette with the DosiCap B and shake the cuvette a few times. After 5 minutes invert the cuvette content a few more times and insert the thoroughly clean cuvette in the instrument.
Method description: Copper (I) ions form orange complex with the disodium salt of bathocuproine disulphonic acid. Any copper (II) ions in the water sample are reduced by ascorbic acid to copper (I) ions before before formation of the complex. Higher iron and chromium concentration may cause high-bias results.
Note: Take care that there are no air bubbles in the beam path. Undissolved or complexed copper can only be determined after digestion with Crack-Set LCW 902 (refer to the procedure on the manufacturer's website).
LCK529 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
