LCK Reagent Set measures ammonium in wastewater plant and industrial wastewater.
LCK503 Cuvette test measures 10-100 mg/L NH₄-N and 13-130 mg/L NH₄ in wastewater. The product uses indophenol blue method (ISO 7150-1, DIN 38406 E5-1, UNI 11669:2017). Article LCK503 can be used for 25 tests. 13mm LCK product can be evaluated on spectrophotometers DR3900, DR6000 and DR1900.
Before starting analysis:
- The required pH of the sample is between pH 4-9.
- The required temperature of the sample and reagents is 20 °C (68 °F).
- Incorrect results may be obtained if abovementioned temperature requirements are not met in course of preparation.
- Surplus ammonium concentration may affect the test results.
Procedure for NH₄-N determination
Add 0.1 mL wastewater sample to DosiCap Zip using pipet BBP078 (not included in the reagent set) and stir the liquid formed in the cuvette and evaluate the sample after 15 minutes.
Sample preparation
It is not recommended to conservate the wastewater samples with ammonium content. Sampling vessel must be from glass or polyethylene. It is recommended to store LCK503 Cuvette test refrigerated at the temperature between 2 °C and 8 °C.
