LCK Reagent Set measures ammonium in wastewater plants and industrial wastewater.
LCK502 Cuvette test measures 100-1800 mg/L NH₄-N or 130-2320 mg/L NH₄ in wastewater. The reagent set uses indophenol blue method (ISO 7150-1, DIN 38406 E5-1, UNI 11669:2017). 13mm Cuvette test can be used for 25 tests. LCK502 product may be evaluated on DR3900, DR6000 and DR1900. 20 µL micropipette (2946003) is required for the wastewater sample analysis.
Procedure for NH₄-N measurement
Remove foil, unscrew DosiCap Zip and add 20 µL wastewater sample. After that screw DosiCap Zip, shake the cuvette content and test results using one of the aforementioned spectrophotometers.
Summary of method
Ammonium ions enter into reaction at pH 12.6 with hypochlorite ions and salicylate ions in the presence of sodium nitroprusside that is the catalyst of the reaction to form indophenol blue.
Sample preparation
It is required to work with the recommended temperature and analyze wastewater samples as soon as possible for correct results. It is not recommended to conservate the wastewater sample. It is required to store the sample in the glass or polyethylene vessel. The product storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C in refrigerated condition.
