LCK Reagent Set measures anionic surfactants in surface water and wastewater.
LCK432 Anionic Surfactants Cuvette Test, 0.1-4.0 mg/L Sodium Dodecylbenzene Sulfonate
LCK432 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.1-4.0 mg/L sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate in surface water and wastewater. The product uses methylene blue (MBA) method (ISO 7875-1-2-1984, DIN 38409-H 23-1). Article LCK432 may be used for evaluation of 25 tests. The product is compatible with the following DR series spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Firstly, 2.0 mL of sample and 0.2 mL of solution A into the cuvette using pipet. Secondly, close the cuvette and shake it for 60 seconds. Thirdly, leave the cuvette standing upright for around 30 seconds in order to allow phase separation. Finally invert the cuvette twice, clean the cuvette from the outside and perform the sample analysis. Anionic surfactants react with methylene blue to form complexes, which are extracted in chloroform and measured photometrically. Cationic surfactants may cause low-bias testing results. The water sample pH is required to be between pH 4-9. The water sample and reagent temperature must be between 15 °C and 25 °C (59-77 °F). Work at the recommended temperature to receive accurate results.
The product storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
