LCK427 Residual Hardness Cuvette Test, 0.02-0.6 °dH

LCK427 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures residual hardness in raw water, drinking water, precipitation water and boiler water.

Add to bag

13mm LCK427 Cuvette test measures 0.02-0.6 °dH, 0.1-2.0 mg/L Ca and 0.15-2.0 mg/L Mg in raw water, drinking water and other liquids. The product uses metalphthalein method. Article LCK427 may be used to conduct analysis of 24 samples. The product can be evaluated using one of the following spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

Add 2.0 mL of solution A and 5.0 mL of sample in the sample cuvette using pipette. After that close the sample cuvette and invert several times. Insert the zero cuvette into the cell holder, select the test and push ZERO. Remove the zero cuvette, insert the sample cuvette and push READ 1. Then remove and open the sample cuvette. Pipet 0.2 mL of solution B, close the cuvette and evaluate using Hach instrument. Calcium and magnesium ions enter into reaction with metal phthalein giving violet coloration. It is recommended to dispose reacted solutions in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. Refer to the Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) for additional disposal information of the unused reagents.

LCK427 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
