LCK Reagent Set measures formaldehyde in chipboard after previous perforation (ISO 12460), fabrics, air, cosmetics and wastewater.
13mm LCK425 Cuvette test measures 0.5-10 mg/L H₂CO in chipboard, fabrics, air, cosmetics and wastewater. The product uses acetylacetone method. Article LCK425 can be used to conduct evaluation of up to 25 collected samples. The product may be analyzed using one of the following spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Firstly, mix 1.5 mL of sample and 1.5 mL of solution A in the cuvette. Secondly, heat the cuvette in the preheated thermoreactor at 60 °C (140 °F) for 10 minutes. Thirdly, cool down the cuvette content and after 60 minutes thoroughly clean the cuvette surface. Finally, evaluate the sample with one of the aforementioned instruments. Formaldehyde enter into reaction in aqueous solution with ammonium ions and acetylacetone giving yellow dye that must be evaluated photometrically. It is recommended to dispose the collected sample and reagents according to local, state and federal regulations.
LCK425 Cuvette test storage conditions are from 15 °C to 25 °C.
