LCK Reagent Set measures free chlorine and chlorine dioxide in drinking water and swimming-pool water.
LCK410 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.05-2.0 mg/L Cl₂ and 0.09-3.8 mg/L ClO₂ in drinking water and swimming-pool water. The product uses DPD method (ISO 7393-1-2-1985, DIN 38408 G4-2). Article LCK410 can be used to conduct evaluation of 24 tests. Each product package contains zero solution. LCK410 reagent set can be evaluated with DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000. It is recommended to remove turbidities by slow pressure sample filtration using Membrane Filtration Set LCW904.
Firstly, fill the cuvette with the drinking water or swimming-pool water sample. Secondly, close the cuvette and invert the cuvette content a few times. Thirdly, insert the zero-cuvette into the cell holder, select the test and push ZERO. Finally, remove the zero-cuvette, insert the sample cuvette in the instrument and evaluate testing results. The red dye is formed in course of reaction between oxidizing agents and diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD). The color must be evaluated using one of the aforementioned spectrophotometers. Large concentration of oxidizing agents may cause result displays within the measuring range. It is recommended to conduct plausibility checks.
The analysis should be performed immediately after the drinking water or swimming-pool water sample has been collected. LCK410 reagent kit storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C (35-46 °F).
