LCK Reagent Set measures carbonate total and carbon dioxide in wastewater, surface water and carbonated beverages.
LCK388 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 55-550 mg/L CO₂ in wastewater, surface water and carbonated beverages. The product uses pH indicator method. The product can be used for 25 tests. LCK388 reagent kit may be evaluated using Hach instruments DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Pipet 1.0 mL of sample into the digestion cuvette, close and invert the content of the cuvette several times. Close the indicator cuvette tightly with the membrane double-cap. Close the digestion cuvette tightly with the prepared indicator cuvette. After that heat the cuvette combination in the preheated thermostat. After cooling down to room temperature, insert the indicator cuvette in the spectrophotometer and evaluate the sample. In the course of reaction, all carbonates and dissolved carbon dioxide convert into gaseous carbon dioxide that passes through membrane into the indicator cuvette. The color change of the indicator is evaluated using one of the aforementioned spectrophotometers. Use double-distilled CO₂-free water to dilute the sample.
The required temperature for storage of the LCK388 reagent set is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
