LCK Reagent Set measures total organic carbon in wastewater, surface water and process water.
LCK Cuvette test measures 30-300 mg/L C in wastewater, surface water and process water. The product uses purging method, persulphate digestion (EN 1484, DIN 38409-H3). Article LCK386 can be used for 25 tests. LCK product can be evaluated on DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Water sample must be inspected before analysis and diluted if the sample contains particles. Add 1.0 mL sample in the cuvette, stir the cuvette content in the TOC-X5 shaker and heat the cuvette using the classic preheated heating block at 100 °C for 2 hours or at 95 °C (203 °F) for 2 hours in the high temperature thermostat. Allow the cuvette to cool down and insert it into the cell holder of the spectrophotometer. After two-stage process, the oxidized CO2 passes through membrane into the indicator cuvette and that causes the change of the color.
Short-term conservation conditions of 1 week period are between 2 °C and 5 °C. Long-term conservation conditions of 1 month period are around -18°C. pH of the water sample for short-term and long-term conservations must to be reduced with sulphuric acid to pH<2. Article LCK386 storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C.
