LCK Reagent Set measures zirconium in zirconium-based coating baths and commercial concentrates for coating baths.
LCK364 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 6-60 mg/L Zr in zirconium-based coating baths and commercial concentrates for coating baths. The product uses SurTec/Hach method. The product can be used for 12-24 tests. LCK364 reagent kit can be evaluated using DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Before you start take into account the following:
- The water sample pH is required to be pH 0.5-9.0.
- The temperature of the water sample and reagents must be 15-25 °C (59-77 °F).
- Absorbances remain stable for up to 15 minutes after the reaction time has exceeded.
Procedure for Zr analysis
Remove the foil from the cuvette, unscrew the cap and screw it back on fluting at the top. Shake the cuvette content vigorously, clean the outside of the cuvette and insert in the spectrophotometer. Remove the cuvette from the instrument and pipet 0.2 mL of sample. Invert the cuvette several times and after 5 minutes conduct photometric evaluation of the sample.
Summary of method
Zirconium ions are forming water-soluble orange-red-color complex with the selective color reagent in hydrochloric acidic solution.
Sample preparation
LCK364 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C. The product must be stored refrigerated.
