LCK359 Tin Cuvette Test, 0.1-2 mg/L Sn

LCK359 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures tin in wastewater and process analysis.

Add to bag

LCK359 Cuvette test measures 0.1-2 mg/L Sn in wastewater and process analysis. The product uses pyridinfluoron (PYF) method. Article LCK359 can be used for 24 tests. Each package contains additional zero solution. LCK359 reagent set may be evaluated using Hach instruments DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

Procedure for soluble tin measurement

The product has the procedure I for soluble tin and procedure II for dissolved tin. To conduct procedure I, mix 2.3 mL solution A, 2.3 mL sample and 1 dosing spoon B in the reaction tube. After that heat the reaction tube using classic thermostat or HT 200 S thermoreactor (see manual for detailed information regarding temperature). Pipet 2.0 mL digested sample from the reaction tube and 0.2 mL solution C into the Vial Test. After 10 minutes, insert the zero-cuvette into the cell holder. Finally, remove the zero-cuvette and insert the cuvette in the spectrophotometer.

Procedure for dissolved tin determination

For procedure II, add 1.0 mL solution A, 1.0 mL sample and 0.2 mL solution C in the cuvette. Close the cuvette, invert the cuvette content several times and after 10 minutes, insert the zero-cuvette into the cell holder. Remove the zero-cuvette from the instrument and insert the cuvette with the sample.

Summary of method

Tin (II) and tin (IV) ions form red complex with pyridylfluoron (PYF).

Sample preparation

For long-term preservation of the wastewater and other liquid sample containing tin, the pH of the sample should be decreased using nitric acid. After preparation, the sample may be stored for up to 1 month. LCK359 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C. The product must be stored refrigerated.
