LCK Reagent Set measures starch in water.
13mm LCK357 Cuvette test measures 2-150 mg/L starch in water. The product uses Hach method. Article LCK357 can be used to evaluate up to 25 tests. The product can be evaluated using DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000 spectrophotometers. It is recommended to pass the collected sample through membrane filter LCW904 to remove turbidity.
Firstly, pipet 2.0 mL of sample in the cuvette. Secondly, close the cuvette and invert several times. Finally, clean the outside of the cuvette and evaluate with one of the aforementioned instruments. Dissolved starch enters into reaction with iodine forming blue inclusion complex that must be evaluated photometrically. The collected sample must be colorless and turbidity-free. The water sample pH is required to be between 4 and 7 pH. The temperature of the water sample and reagents should be around 22 °C (72 °F).
