LCK Reagent Set measures silver for film and photo developing, mirror-making, electroplating industries and process analysis.
13mm LCK355 Cuvette test measures 5-2500 mg/L Ag and 400-2500 mg/L Ag in film and photo developing, mirror-making, electroplating industries and process analysis. The product uses Hach method. Article LCK355 may be used to evaluate up to 25 tests. The product can be evaluated on the following DR series instruments: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
LCK355 Cuvette test has 2 measurement ranges: 5-400 mg/L Ag and 400-2500 mg/L Ag. Add 0.8 mL of solution A and 0.2 mL of solution B in the cuvette. Close the cuvette and invert it several times. Pipet 2.0 mL of sample for analysis in the range 5-400 mg/L Ag or 0.2 mL of sample for analysis in the range 400-2500 mg/L Ag. Close the cuvette and invert the cuvette content a few times. After 10 minutes insert the thoroughly clean cuvette into the cell holder and start the sample analysis. If the sample is intensely colored, a special blank value must be measured (see manual for detailed information regarding preparation of the blank-value cuvette). Silver ions enter into reaction with the reagent to produce brown color. There is no interference from measuring range 2 less than 16 g/L iron and measuring range 1 less than 8 g/L iron. See the Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) for detailed information about chemicals. It is recommended to use the personal protective equipment.
In order to preserve the collected sample containing silver for up to 1 month it is required to reduce the pH to <2 with nitric acid. The sample should be transported and stored in the glass, polyethylene and borosilicate glass. Storage conditions of the LCK355 reagent set are between 2 °C and 8 °C. The product should be kept refrigerated.
