LCK348 Phosphate, Ortho, Total Cuvette Test, 0.5-5.0 mg/L PO₄-P

LCK348 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures orthophosphate and phosphorus total in wastewater, drinking water, boiler water and surface water.

Add to bag

LCK348 Cuvette test (13 mm) measures 0.5-5.0 mg/L PO₄-P, 1.5–15.0 mg/L PO₄ and 1.2–11.5 mg/L P2O5 in wastewater, drinking water and other liquids. The product uses phosphormolybdenum blue method. Article LCK348 may be used for evaluation of 25 tests. LCK product can be evaluated using DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

For analysis of the total phosphorus remove the foil, unscrew the cap and add 0.5 mL sample in the cuvette. After screwing the cap back onto cuvette in the upside-down position, shake and heat the cuvette using classic thermostat or high temperature thermoreactor (see LCK348 manual for temperature specification). Cool down and shake the cuvette content. Afterwards pipet 0.2 mL of the Reagent B, screw the grey cap and after 10 minutes analyze the cuvette.

For orthophosphate analysis mix 0.5 mL sample and 0.2 mL Reagent B. Screw the grey cap onto the cuvette, invert it a few times and after 10 minutes insert the sample into the cell holder of the Hach spectrophotometer. Phosphate ions react with molybdate and antimony ions in an acidic solution to form an antimonyl phosphormolybdate complex, which is reduced by ascorbic acid to phosphormolybdenum blue.

No preparation is required for short-term sample conservation. The required temperature for 14 day storage of the wastewater and other liquid sample is -18°C. The collected sample must be transported and kept in the glass, polyethylene and borosilicate glass. The aforementioned sample preparation applies only to total phosphorus analysis. The recommended storage temperature for LCK348 is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
