LCK Reagent Set measures nitrite in wastewater plants and industrial wastewater.
LCK343 reagent set measures 2-90 mg/L NO₂-N and 7-295 mg/L NO₂ in wastewater plants and industrial wastewater. The product uses diazotization method (EN ISO 26777, DIN 38405 D10). LCK reagent kit can be used for evaluation of 25 tests. LCK343 Cuvette test (13mm) may be evaluated on DR3900, DR6000 and DR1900.
Remove the foil from the cuvette, unscrew the cap and add 0.2 mL of the wastewater sample. After that screw the cap on the cuvette fluting at the top and shake firmly until the freeze-dried contents are completely dissolved. After 15 minutes invert the cuvette several times, clean the cuvette surface and evaluate with one of the aforementioned instruments. Nitrites react with primary aromatic amines in acidic solution to form diazonium salts. These combine with aromatic compounds that contain an amino group or a hydroxyl group to form intensively colored azo dyes. Chromium(VI) and Copper(II) ions interfere with the determination. The result of the sample analysis required to be subjected to plausibility checks.
Short-term and longer-term conservations of wastewater samples containing nitrite is not recommended. The most appropriate material for sampling vessel is glass or polyethylene. The product storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
