LCK338 Laton Total Nitrogen Cuvette Test, 20-100 mg/L TNb

LCK338 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures total nitrogen in water and wastewater.

Add to bag

LCK Cuvette test measures 20-100 mg/L TNb in water and wastewater. The product uses Koroleff digestion and photometric detection with 2.6-dimethylphenol method (EN ISO 11905-1). Article LCK338 can be used for 25 tests. LCK product can be evaluated on DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

Mix 0.2 mL sample, 2.3 mL solution A and 1 tablet B in the reaction tube, heat in the classic thermostat or high temperature thermoreactor for 30 minutes or 15 minutes, respectively. After cooling and inverting the reaction tube, add 0.5 mL of digested sample and 0.2 mL of solution D into the cuvette. Invert the cuvette several times and after 15 minutes insert it into the cell holder of the spectrophotometer. Inorganically and organically bonded nitrogen is oxidized to nitrate by digestion with peroxo-disulphate. The nitrate ions react with 2.6-dimethylphenol in a solution of sulphuric and phosphoric acid to form a nitrophenol. Surplus of reducing agents in the water and wastewater sample may cause low-bias results. Plausibility check of the measurement results is required to be conducted.

The required water sample pH for the preservation for up to 7 days is from 3 to 7 pH. The recommended storage temperature for sample preservation for up to 14 days is approximately -18°C. The sampling container should be made of glass, polyethylene or borosilicate glass. LCK338 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
