LCK Reagent Set measures nonionic surfactants in formulations, wash solutions and process analysis.
LCK334 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.1-1.0 g/L and 1-20 g/L in formulations, wash solutions and process analysis. The product uses CTAS method. Article LCK334 may be used to evaluate up to 25 tests. The product can be measured using the following Hach spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
LCK334 reagent set has 2 measuring ranges: 0.1-1.0 g/L and 1-20 g/L. For evaluation 0.1-1.0 g/L pipet 1.0 mL of sample in the cuvette. For measuring 1-20 g/L add 0.2 mL of sample. Close the cuvette and shake it after 2 minutes. Leave the cuvette standing vertically for several minutes to allow phase separation to occur. Analyse testing results using one of the abovementioned instruments. Nonionic surfactants enter into reaction with cobalt thiocyanate, forming complexes that are extracted in chloroform and photometrically evaluated. Cationic surfactants may cause high-bias results. High concentrations of anionic surfactants may cause low-bias results. Acidic degreasing baths with high concentration of iron should not be neutralized. In that case it is recommended to analyze the diluted sample using LCK333 Cuvette Test.
The recommended temperature for LCK334 Cuvette test storage is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
