LCK Reagent Set measures cationic surfactants in surface water, waste water and process control.
LCK331 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.2-2.0 mg/L in surface water, waste water and other liquids. The product uses bromophenol blue method. One package of LCK331 reagent set can be used for evaluation of 25 tests. The product may be evaluated using one of the following instruments: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Insert the sample cuvette as blank cuvette in the spectrophotometer. Remove the cuvette from the instrument and pipette 4.0 mL of sample, 0.4 mL of solution A and 0.2 mL of solution B. Close the cuvette and shake it for 2 minutes. Leave the cuvette standing upright for 30 seconds, invert it twice and conduct the water sample test. Cationic surfactants react with bromophenol blue to form complexes that are extracted in chloroform and evaluated photometrically using one of the abovementioned instruments. Anionic surfactants may cause low-bias results. In that case, the results of the sample analysis must be subjected to check of plausibility. If light turbidity is forming in the chloroform phase, increase the cuvette temperature shortly to remove turbidity.
LCK331 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
