LCK Reagent Set measures potassium in raw water, drinking water, soil, substrates, nutrient solutions and process analysis.
LCK328 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 8-50 mg/L K in raw water, drinking water, soil, substrates and other liquids. The product uses kalignost method. Article LCK328 can be used for 24 tests. The product can be evaluated using one of the following instruments: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Before you start take into account the following:
- The required pH of the water or soil sample must be between pH 3-10.
- The recommended temperature of the sample and reagents must be between 15-25 °C (59-77 °F).
- The intensity of turbidity fluctuates around ± 5 mg/L.
- The testing results should be subjected to checks of plausibility.
Procedure for K measurement
Pipet 5.0 mL of solution A and 1.0 mL of sample in the cuvette. After that close the cuvette and invert it a few times. After 5 minutes, invert a few more times, thoroughly clean the outside of the cuvette and evaluate using one of the aforementioned spectrophotometers.
Summary of method
Potassium ions enter into reaction in alkaline solution with Kalignost and form a slightly soluble precipitate of potassium tetraphenylborate. The turbidity is evaluated photometrically.
Sample preparation
Storage conditions of the LCK328 Cuvette test are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
