LCK Reagent Set measures fluoride in drinking water, ground water, surface water, wastewater and process control.
LCK323 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.1-2.5 mg/L F in drinking water, ground water, surface water and other liquids. The product uses SPADNS method. Article LCK323 can be used for 25 tests. The product can be evaluated using DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Before you start take into account the following:
- The required pH of the water sample must be between 1 and 11 pH.
- The temperature of the water sample and reagents should be 20°C.
- It is recommended to consider the aforementioned pH and temperature requirements to receive accurate testing results.
Procedure for F determination
Insert sample cuvette as blank cuvette in the instrument. Pipette drinking water, ground water or other liquid sample into the cuvette. Close and invert the content of the cuvette several times. After 1 minute, evaluate testing results using one of the abovementioned spectrophotometers.
Summary of method
Fluoride ions enter into reaction with zirconium and form colourless zirconium fluoride complex. This causes the red zirconium lake that is present to lose color.
