LCK Reagent Set measures sludge activity (TTC) activated sludge, digested sludge, communal and industrial wastewater.
13mm LCK318 Cuvette test measures 5-200 µg sludge activity (TTC SA) or 0-500% residual activity (TTC RA) in activated sludge, digested sludge and other liquids. The product uses colorimetric method (DIN 38412-3). LCK318 reagent set can be used to conduct analysis of 25 samples. The product can be measured on DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
For visual sample evaluation, it is required to prepare the analysis solution with TS content of 1 g/L in the reaction tube. Add 0.6 mL of buffer solution using pipette. Fill the cuvette with activated sludge, digested sludge or other liquid sample. Close and store the cuvette in a dark place at room temperature. Evaluate the red color that appears in the cuvette after 30, 45 and 60 minutes. For sludge activity (TTC SA) and residual activity (TTC RA) determination in the collected sample, it is necessary to conduct the procedure recommended by manufacturer (see manual). The determination of sludge activity respectively residual activity with 2,3,5–triphenyltetrazolium chloride (TTC) that is converted to red formazan by dehydrogenases. The water-insoluble formazan extracted with ethanol and must be evaluated using Hach spectrophotometer.
LCK318 reagent kit storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C.
