LCK308 Cadmium Cuvette Test, 0.02-0.3 mg/L Cd

LCK308 Hach

LCK Reagent Set measures cadmium in wastewater and process analysis.

Add to bag

13mm LCK308 Cuvette test measures 0.02-0.3 mg/L Cd and 0.024-0.36 mg/L Cd in wastewater and process analysis. The product uses cadion method. Article LCK308 can be used for 25 tests. The product may be evaluated on DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000. Use LCW903 Calcium separation set for interference removal of calcium and magnesium ions (up to 5000 mg/l) before cadmium determination with LCK308. Use LCW902 CRACK SET Reagent kit for total Cadmium digestion.

Pipet 10 mL of the wastewater sample and 1.0 mL of solution A into reaction tube. Then close the reaction tube and invert it several times. Add 0.4 mL of solution B in LCK308 cuvette, close and invert the content of the cuvette a few times. Insert the cuvette into the cell holder and evaluate testing results. Afterwards remove the cuvette and drip 4.0 mL of pretreated sample from the reaction tube. Close the cuvette and invert several times. After 30 seconds conduct the sample analysis. Cadion is forming complex with cadmium. The reduction in the color intensity of cadion is used for the cadmium determination. The pH of the wastewater sample is required to be between 3-10 pH. The temperature of the water sample and reagents must be between 15 °C and 25 °C (59-77 °F).

For long-term preservation of the wastewater sample containing cadmium it is required to reduce the water sample pH with nitric acid to pH<2. The wastewater sample must be stored in glass, polyethylene or borosilicate glass vessel. LCK308 Cuvette test storage conditions are between 2 °C and 8 °C. The product should be kept refrigerated.
