LCK Reagent Set measures lead in wastewater and process analysis.
LCK306 Cuvette test (13mm) measures 0.1-2.0 mg/L Pb and 0.12-2.40 mg/L Pb in wastewater and process analysis. The product uses PAR method. Article LCK306 can be used to evaluate up to 25 tests. The product is compatible with spectrophotometers DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Mix 10 mL of sample and 1 dosing spoon of reagent A in the reaction tube. After that add 1.5 mL of solution B and 4.0 mL of pretreated sample in the cuvette. Close and invert the cuvette a few times. Then insert the cuvette into the cell holder, select the test and push READ 1. Remove the cuvette and add 0.3 mL of solution C in the cuvette using pipette. After 1 minute, insert the stirred cuvette in the instrument and push READ 2. Lead (II) ions enter into reaction at pH 9 with 4-(2-pyridylazo)-resorcin (PAR) and form red-colored complex. Analyze the color of the complex using Hach spectrophotometer. The required pH of the wastewater and other liduid sample is 3-9 pH. The recommended temperature of the water sample and reagents is 15-25 °C (59-77 °F).
For long-term conservation, the required pH of the sample is pH<2 that may be obtained using nitric acid. The wastewater and other liquid sample must be stored in glass, polyethylene or borosilicate glass vessel. LCK306 reagent set recommended storage conditions are 15-25 °C.
