LCK305 Ammonium Cuvette Test, 1.0-12.0 mg/L NH₄-N

LCK Cuvette test measures 1.0-12.0 mg/L NH₄-N and 1.3–15.0 mg/L NH₄ in surface water and wastewater. The product uses indophenol blue method (ISO 7150-1, DIN 38406 E5-1, UNI 11669:2017). Article LCK305 can be used for the analysis of 25 samples. 13mm LCK305 is compatible with the following DR series instruments: DR3900, DR6000 and DR1900.

Remove the foil from the cuvette cap, unscrew the cap and pipette 0.5 mL of the water sample. Screw the cap back (fluting at the top) and shake the cuvette firmly. After 15 minutes clean the outside of the cuvette and evaluate testing results. Ammonium ions are reacting at pH 12.6 with hypochlorite ions and salicylate ions in the presence of sodium nitroprusside and forming indophenol blue. Large surplus of ammonium may cause result  displays within the measuring range. It is recommended to carry out the check of plausibility by making dilutions. pH of the surface water and wastewater sample must be 4-9 pH. Temperature of the sample and sample cuvette should be around 20 °C. Incorrect result may be obtained if the recommended temperature is not adhered to during analysis.

Short-term and long-term conservation of surface water and wastewater samples is not recommended. The sampling vessel material must be either glass or polyethylene. The storage conditions of the LCK305 are between 2 °C and 8 °C (refrigerated).
