LCK240 Photometric Iodine (MEBAK) Cuvette Test, >0.2 Iodine Value

LCK240 Cuvette test (13mm) measures >0.2 iodine value in beer and beer wort. The product uses MEBAK method (MEBAK II). Article LCK240 may be used to perform evaluation of 25 samples. The product can be evaluated with DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

After preparation of the iodine solution and sample filtration (see manual for detailed information regarding the aforementioned procedure), pipet 1mL of prepared sample in the cuvette. Then close the cuvette, invert it several times and insert the blank value cuvette in the spectrophotometer. Add 0.25 mL of prepared iodine solution, close the cuvette and invert the cuvette content a few times. After 1 minute, insert the sample cuvette in the instrument and evaluate the beer or beer wort sample. In the course of reaction, the solution forms red to blue color. The intensity of the color is evaluated photometrically using Hach spectrophotometer. It is required to degas collected samples containing carbon dioxide and filtrate turbid beer or beer wort samples. It is recommended to use accessories from the manufacturer to receive reliable testing results.

LCK240 reagent set storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C.
