LCK153 Sulphate Cuvette Test, 40-150 mg/L SO₄

13mm LCK153 Cuvette test measures 40-150 mg/L SO₄ in wastewater, soil, raw water and other liquids. The product uses barium sulphate method. Article LCK153 may be used to perform analysis of 25 tests. The product can be evaluated using the following instruments: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.

Mix 5.0 mL of sample and 1 dosing spoon of reagent A in the cuvette. Then close and invert the cuvette repeatedly for approximately 2 minutes. Insert the cuvette in the cell holder of the spectrophotometer and conduct sample analysis. Sulphate ions enter into reaction with barium chloride in aqueous solution forming barium sulphate that is only sparingly soluble. The turbidity is required to be evaluated photometrically. The measurement results must be checked for plausibility (dilute and/or spike the sample).

For short-term sample preservation, it is required to store the water or soil sample at the temperature between 2 °C and 5 °C. It is recommended to transport and store the collected sample in the glass or polyethylene container. The recommended storage temperature for the LCK153 reagent set is between 15 °C and 25 °C.
