LCK Reagent Set measures chemical oxygen demand in wastewater and soil.
13mm LCK114 Cuvette test measures COD in the range of 150-1000 mg/L O₂ in wastewater and soil. Article LCK114 uses dichromate method (ISO 6060-1989, DIN 38409-H41-H44). The product can be used to conduct 25 tests. LCK114 is compatible with the following DR series spectrophotometers: DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
After inverting the cuvette content a few times pipet 2.0 mL of wastewater or soil sample. After that invert the cuvette again and heat the cuvette for 2 hours in the classic thermostat at 148 °C (298.4 °F) or for 15 minutes in the high temperature thermoreactor. Finally after cooling of cuvette to the room temperature insert the cuvette into the cell holder and perform analysis of the water sample. Barcode label printed on the cuvette can be used for the automatic recognition in the photometer and Truecal calibration. The aforementioned method may be used for wastewater and soil samples (or diluted samples) with concentrations of chloride of up to 1500 mg/L.
The short-term conservation (24 hours maximum) temperature must be between +2 °C and +5 °C. The longer-term conservation (14 days maximum) temperature should be -18 °C. The sampling vessel material must be glass or polyethylene vessel. The product storage conditions are between 15 °C and 25 °C protected from light.
