LCK Reagent Set measures chemical oxygen demand in wastewater.
LCK Cuvette test measures 1,000-10,000 mg/L O₂ (COD) in wastewater. LCK014 reagent set uses dichromate method (ISO 6060-1989, DIN 38409-H41-H44). The product to evaluate 25 wastewater samples using DR3900, DR6000, DR1900, DR2800, DR3800 and DR5000.
Before starting the test, it is recommended to review the safety information, expiration date and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS). Add 0.5 mL of the wastewater sample to the stirred cuvette, invert the cuvette once again and heat on the thermostat. Afterwards allow the cuvette to cool to room temperature and use Hach spectrophotometer for the sample analysis. Oxidizable substances react with sulphuric acid and potassium dichromate solution in the presence of silver sulphate that acts as the reaction catalyst. Chloride is masked by mercury sulphate. The green coloration of Cr3+ in the cuvette is evaluated.
The temperature for 24-hour storage of the wastewater sample: +2°C to +5 °C. The temperature to keep the product prepared for the analysis during the 14 days period: -18°C. Storage conditions for LCK014 Cuvette Test: 15 °C to 25 °C in a place protected from light.
