4451569 Sodium & Potassium ISA Reagent Powder Pillows, 10-1000 mg/L Na+

Reagent Powder Pillows measure sodium and potassium in drinking water and process water. Article 258999 uses Direct ISE Method method (8322). Each package contains 100 Powder Pillows.

Procedure for Na+ determination

Mix 25 mL of sample and the content of Sodium ISA Powder Pillow in the 50mL beaker. Stir the beaker content using magnetic stirrer at moderate rate. Rinse the probe with ISA rinse solution, put in the solution and press READ. See manual for detailed information regarding calibration procedure. When the sodium-sensing element touches sodium ions, potential develops across the sensing element that is proportional to the level of sodium ions. The potential should be measured against constant reference potential using pH/mV meter or ISE meter.

Sample preparation

Store the sample at the temperature below 6 °C (43 °F) for up to 6 hours to preserve the sample. It is recommended to condition the probe in 25 mL of 100-mg/L Sodium Standard Solution with Sodium and Potassium ISA Powder Pillow content after long-term storage.
