2815945 TOC Cuvette Test, 15-150 mg/L C

16 mm Test 'N Tube Cuvette test measures 15-150 mg/L C in water, drinking water and other liquids. The product uses direct method (10173). Article 2815945 can be used for 25-50 tests. TNT product can be evaluated on DR900 only.

Procedure for C determination

Add 10 mL of collected sample and 0.4 mL of Buffer Solution into the Erlenmeyer flask. Stir the flask content using stir plate at moderate speed for 10 minutes. Then pour the TOC Persulfate Powder Pillow content to each vial. After that prepare the blank vial and sample vial (see manual for detailed information regarding preparation procedure). Rinse two blue Mid/High Range Indicator Ampules using deionized water. Put the closed ampule in each vial, remove the top of the ampule and let ampules to drop into vials. Heat the blank vial and sample vial in the reactor and after 2 hours, cool down and thoroughly clean each vial. Insert the blank vial into the cell holder of the instrument and select program. Finally, evaluate the sample vial using DR900 colorimeter.

Sample preparation

To preserve the collected sample for 1 week, it is required to decrease the pH to pH<2 using sulphuric acid and store at the temperature between 2 °C and 5 °C. To conserve the sample for 1 month, the required storage temperature is -18 °C.
